Founded in 2002, A43 is an award-winning international architecture and design studio headquartered in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto, Portugal), with projects and offices worldwide: London, Maputo and Geneva.

Under the leadership of Mendes Pinheiro, A43 brings together an interdisciplinary team of architects and designers to create spaces that combine art, science, and human experience.

Our work spans architecture, interior design, landscape design, product design, and consultancy, always integrating sustainability and innovative approaches.

We focus on understanding the relationship between environments, people, and perception, designing spaces that are both meaningful and enduring. At A43, architecture goes beyond function, it generates presence, well-being, and emotional connection.
