Timber House

Located in a Estado Novo neighbourhood in Porto, this interior project builds its identity through a strong sense of materiality, expressed primarily through wood. There is a natural appeal in it, wood carries the stripes of time, holding traces of nature and humanity within its grain. It brings warmth, depth and a quiet continuity to the space, grounding the home in something both tactile and timeless.

Even the concrete walls bear the marks of the outside world, reinforcing this dialogue between material and memory. Together, these elements create an atmosphere where the past and present coexist, and where the inhabitant feels connected to something larger than the room itself. It is an architecture that honours what already exists while offering a renewed sense of belonging.
