A43 Wins the BIP Global Architecture Award with Boavista 5205

We’re proud to announce that Boavista Housing 5205, designed by A43 Architecture, has been awarded the 2026 BIP Global Architecture Award in the Multi-Residential category. An international recognition celebrating innovation, design excellence, and emotional connection in architecture.

Located between Porto’s urban core, Parque da Cidade, and the Atlantic coastline, Boavista Housing 5205 redefines the relationship between density and individuality. The project demonstrates how multi-residential architecture can offer privacy, spatial clarity, and emotional depth.

Through a disciplined composition of horizontal and vertical planes, the building mediates between city, park, and ocean — creating a dialogue between structure and landscape. Each residence enjoys independent access, duplex layouts, and private circulation, giving residents a distinct sense of autonomy and identity.

Natural light, material restraint, and spatial rhythm shape the experience of living here. Marble, solid timber, and minimal aluminium details reinforce the project’s timeless character, while passive design strategies ensure sustainability and comfort.
