Leaflight Building

In the heart of a dense urban landscape, this ongoing study explores how nature can quietly return to the city. Leaf inspired balconies introduce movement and lightness, softening the building’s presence and bringing a sense of organic rhythm to the façade. The project reflects A43’s belief that even in the most compact contexts, architecture can create breathing spaces, moments where light, greenery and form reconnect people with the natural world.

At this early stage, the design focuses on a central challenge: reducing visual noise on the façade while preserving the building’s historic character. Air conditioning units, exposed cables and irregular elements are rethought through a more cohesive architectural language. The drawing presented here captures that exploration, showing how nature driven components can be integrated with care, enhancing the building’s identity without altering its essence. It is an exercise in balance, between past and present, density and softness, city and nature.
